Software Engineer - multiple levels - CI polygraph with Security Clearance
About the role
Constellation Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a web application and user interface (UI) developer. This position requires a US citizen with a TS/SCI clearance and active polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications and user interfaces using Java, Python, embedded C/C++, and Java cryptographic framework.
- Work with XML, web UI technologies (Angular, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java Frameworks, J2E, Python, C++, Oracle, MongoDB, SQL).
- Utilize development IDEs (Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm) and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).
- Implement software source control and configuration management tools.
- Develop cryptographic systems and work with technologies underlying cryptographic systems.
- Develop on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Develop web services and demonstrate professional experience with web services.
- Apply sound software development principles and practices.
- Plan and prioritize personal tasks and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Think independently and perform high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must have a TS/SCI clearance with an active polygraph (CI or FS).
- At least four (04) years of direct/relevant experience or a combination of five (05) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes and a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated in-depth experience with Java, familiarity with multiple Java frameworks, and experience with multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
- Experience with development IDEs, databases, and software source control and configuration management tools.
- Experience with cryptographic systems, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, ASN.1 encoding, XML canonicalization, digital signatures.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience with web services and software development on Agile teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) (i.e., EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX-B, JAX-RS, JAX-WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), Spring framework, scripting.
- Familiarity with XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, Containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with Javascript frameworks: AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery.
- Experience with Testing and Mocking frameworks: JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, Unified Functional Tester (UFT), Selenium, FITNesse.
- Experience with build tools: Maven, CMake, RPM, Jenkins, Nexus.
- Experience with high level requirements management including requirements decomposition, secure systems engineering and development, trade-off analysis, interface control, testing and continuous integration.
- Experience in software development on Agile teams using Agile Developer practices such as Pair Programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), Refactoring, and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
- Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Secure Software development (i.e., Layer 7 Policy).
- Experience with Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, SAFe Agilest Certification, or experience as a member of an Agile team.

Pay
$120,000 - $250,000 a year
