Software Engineer, ML Tools

Job Summary

The Waymo ML Tooling team is seeking a Developer to apply Waymo and Alphabet technology to automate selection and preparation of data for model training, work with ML Engineers to identify and resolve workflow difficulties through UX, automation, and agents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Waymo ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Apply Waymo and Alphabet technology to automate selection and preparation of data for model training
• Work with ML Engineers to identify and resolve workflow difficulties through UX, automation, and agents
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Waymo ML infrastructure

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience constructing and maintaining large datasets
• High customer focus and ability to incorporate user feedback into designs and improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of professional experience building and maintaining ML platforms
• Proficiency developing large-scale jobs and backend servers in C++ or Python
• Proficiency developing web frontends in TypeScript/Angular
