Software Engineer, ML Platform

About the role

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team at Sola. Our mission is to transform how work is done through the development of AI agents that automate workflows effortlessly. Currently powering enterprise workflows in Fortune 100 companies, our platform is designed to be adaptable across various industries such as healthcare, finance, legal, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with our CTO to turn AI research and experiments into production-grade features
• Investigate and prototype new AI capabilities, determining feasibility and shipping them
• Build observability and evaluation infrastructure to monitor models in production and measure their success
• Take ownership of AI features from design through deployment and monitoring, collaborating with other teams as necessary

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an engineer, including recent work on cutting-edge ML and AI systems
• Experience owning production AI features end-to-end, from experimentation to maintaining live production infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in modern ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, HuggingFace, DSPy)

Qualifications

• Open to working 5 days a week out of our office in NYC (we will cover relocation!)

Skills

• Hands-on experience operating at an early stage startup
• Background in ML research, particularly in areas relevant to Sola (e.g. CUA, agentic reasoning, visual grounding, VLMs, fine-tuning)
• Expertise in our stack: Typescript, Python, DSPy, vLLM / TensorRT, Temporal, Kubernetes
• Aspiring to be part of a small, tight-knit team at the early stage of a rapidly growing company

Pay

Compensation range: $150K - $350K
