About the role

The successful candidate will join the fullstack W&B History team, focusing on the core visualization engine that powers experiment tracking for over 1,000 organizations and labs building AI across various domains including LLMs, agents, robotics, drug discovery, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Scale charting components to handle millions of data points with smooth interactivity.
  • Implement new features that help AI researchers explore their data and build better models.
  • Collaborate with product designers to refine the user experiences.
  • Work with back-end engineers to optimize data streaming for charts.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
  • Knowledge of web-based visualization libraries.
  • Demonstrated ability to measure and optimize front-end performance, especially for rendering large datasets and maintaining 60fps interactions.
  • Curious and eager to share knowledge with the team.
  • Experience with Canvas/WebGL or visualization libraries like React vis or uPlot.

Qualifications

  • A background in machine learning workflows or a strong interest in the AI/ML ecosystem.
  • Passionate about solving complex problems at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of web development principles and practices.
  • Experience with performance engineering and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: $182,000 to $242,000.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $182,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
