About the role
The successful candidate will join the fullstack W&B History team, focusing on the core visualization engine that powers experiment tracking for over 1,000 organizations and labs building AI across various domains.
Responsibilities
- Scale charting components to handle millions of data points with smooth interactivity.
- Implement new features that help AI researchers explore their data and build better models.
- Collaborate with product designers to refine the user experiences.
- Work with back-end engineers to optimize data streaming for charts.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Knowledge of web-based visualization libraries.
- Demonstrated ability to measure and optimize front-end performance, especially for rendering large datasets and maintaining 60fps interactions.
Qualifications
- Curious about technical systems and eager to improve them.
- Collaborative, willing to share knowledge with the team.
- Experience with Canvas/WebGL or visualization libraries like React vis or uPlot.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in machine learning workflows or a strong interest in the AI/ML ecosystem.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $182,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
Schedule
We are currently operating a hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work options.
