Software Engineer - Mid - Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience software development of Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
• Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
• Security+ or equivalent certification may be required within 60 days of starting.

Work Responsibilities

• Design and develop new Java applications;
• Maintain existing Java applications;
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines;
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews;

Desired Skills

• Design and development of Java applications.
• Developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.
• Development of complex mathematical algorithms from design documents.
• SW analysis against performance requirements.
• Resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
• Maven or Gradle.
• Automated unit testing frameworks.
