Position Summary

MILVETS is seeking a full-time Software Engineer Mid-Level, eligible for a Secret security clearance and preferably holding CompTIA Security+ certification, to support USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM.

The company will not sponsor work visas for this role.

Tech Stack

• Django Framework (Python, SQL, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS)
• Gitlab YAML pipeline for testing, release generation, and test environment deployment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing backend services and web applications.
• Research and implement new development ideas and improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
• Help maintain and improve automated testing processes.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack.
• Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Ensure software standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Linux bash scripting and working in Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and debugging issues.
• Able to write and maintain clear technical documentation.

Desired

• Experience with C# and windows development.
• Familiarity with web technologies (Django, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS).
• Understanding CI/CD pipelines, particularly Gitlab YAML configuration.
• Experience with SQL database design.

Education / Certifications Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following fields:
• - Information Technology (IT)
• - Cybersecurity
• - Computer Science
• - Information Systems
• - Data Science
• - Software Engineering
• OR
• In lieu of a degree, one or more of the following certifications will be accepted:
• - CISSP-ISSAP
• - GSEC
• - CSSLP
