You'll shoulder SRE responsibilities, ensuring the software being developed meets the highest quality standards through rigorous automated testing, QA checks, and meticulous code scans. Collaborating closely with a dedicated Scrum Master, you'll prioritize the backlog and create user stories that align with the INVEST acronym, building solutions that address both technical challenges and critical business problems. A solid understanding of Agile Scrum Ceremonies will be instrumental in navigating the agile landscape and delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage high-performing software development teams using agile methodologies.
  • Design, develop, and support cutting-edge software products, services, and systems.
  • Spearhead innovative solutions for strategic design and development projects.
  • Guide and motivate development teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Manage project scope, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure software quality through automated testing, QA checks, and code scans.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters to prioritize backlog and create user stories aligned with INVEST principles.
  • Understand customer needs, market trends, and align software development with business objectives.
  • Select, train, and develop team members to foster a diverse and high-performing environment.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience managing high-performing teams using agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, practices, programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate development teams.
  • Proficient in project management, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Business acumen to understand customer needs, market trends, and align software development with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders.
  • Growth mindset and keen drive for personal and professional development.
  • Customer-focused with a priority on customer success.
  • Naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent job experience.
  • Experience in one or more Hyperscaler to leverage cloud-native solutions.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to overcome challenges in software development projects.

Pay

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $143,640 to $273,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

  • California (San Francisco Bay Area): $172,440 to $327,600
  • California (All Other): $158,040 to $300,360
  • Colorado: $143,640 to $273,000
  • Massachusetts: $143,640 to $300,360
  • New York City: $172,440 to $327,600
  • Washington: $158,040 to $300,360
  • Washington DC: $158,040 to $300,360

This position is eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance. For sales commission eligible roles, you will participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
