About the role
The successful candidate will be part of the Space Vehicle Management team, designing, developing, documenting, refactoring, testing, and debugging applications software for a Ground Segment. They will support the program through its maturity and milestones to achieve the mission.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment
- Support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission
- Operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment
- Handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Software development experience
- Able to digest changes and synthesize them into working designs
- Generate efficient code according to the specifications
- Adapt to changes as necessary that are driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer
Qualifications
- Software Engineer - Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 3 years with Master's degree; 1 year with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Software Engineer - Level 4: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 6 years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Skills
- Java, C++, Python (or similar scripting language)
- Agile development methodologies
- Automated testing experience
- Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies

Pay
- Annual salary range: $108,800.00 - $171,000.00 for Level 3
- $135,800.00 - $213,400.00 for Level 4
