Software Engineer - Level 2
About the role
The Software Engineer - Level 2 will be part of the Command-and-Control team, designing, developing, documenting, refactoring, testing, and debugging applications software for a Ground Segment. They will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission.
Responsibilities
- Digest changes and synthesize them into working designs
- Generate efficient code according to specifications
- Adapt to changes as necessary driven by bugs or specification updates or the customer
- Operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment
- Handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions
- Work in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 0 years with Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance at the time of application, and the ability and willingness to obtain SCI and CI Poly
- Experience with C++ and Python
- Experience with RedHat Linux environment
- Experience with Software design lifecycle
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) and development using Agile methodologies
Qualifications
- Adjudicated FS or CI polygraph
- STEM degree
- Experience with the CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Excellent technical writing and team-building skills

Pay
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
