Software Engineer (L2)

About the Opportunity:The Software Engineer (L2) role is focused on designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs within the customer data platform. This position contributes to enabling developers to deliver personalized customer experiences by enhancing system performance, reliability, and scalability. The role demands close collaboration with product and engineering teams to drive architectural decisions and improve developer and customer outcomes. 3. Responsibilities:• Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs.• Collaborate cross-functionally to balance usability, performance, and architecture.• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.• Troubleshoot and improve system reliability.• Participate in on-call rotation for managed services. 4. Requirements:• Minimum 2 years of experience writing production-grade code in modern languages.• Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or similar.• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms like AWS.• Hands-on experience with container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.• Experience with large-scale asynchronous processing systems.• Familiarity with CI/CD development practices.• Strong software engineering principles for scalable system design.• Effective written and verbal technical communication skills.• Initiative to solve complex problems independently.• Experience using AI development tools. Desired:• Experience with event streaming technologies (Kafka, Pulsar, etc.).• Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.• Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.• Experience working in geographically distributed teams. 5.
