Software Engineer - Java/Python
About the role
We're seeking a Software Engineer - Java/Python developer to join our dynamic team. This role will develop, test, and maintain a complex distributed processing application using Python and Java. You'll collaborate closely with Product Owner, Data Coaches, Analysts, DBAs, and Scrum/Kanban teams to align with program standards, backend-frontend requirements, and Agile delivery expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain a complex distributed processing application using Python and Java.
- Work closely with Product Owner, Data Coaches, Analysts, and DBA teams to ensure alignment with program standards, backend-frontend requirements, and Agile delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with Scrum/Kanban teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong Python development with JAVA experience or Strong JAVA Development with python experience
- Experience with distributed workloads via Spark/Hadoop/Other
- Must have SQL skills; Snowflake experience a plus
- AWS experience
- Strong shell scripting
- Team player
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision
- Excellent executive function and communication skills
- US Citizen or Green Card
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Qualifications
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience; certification preferred
- CLI Linux experience
- Visual Studio (VS code) or other IDE experience
- Job scheduling / process automation experience
- Rules-based model experience
- CMS/Medicare or Medicaid claims experience
