Software Engineer IV

About the role

This position requires an Active Top Secret SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Solves software problem reports
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design
• Experience developing in Unix, shell scripting, configuration management tools, web services implementation
• Possesses the following capabilities: analyze user requirements, debug existing software, design and code new software, write or review software and system documentation, integrate existing software, develop simple data queries, develop or implement algorithms, develop and execute test procedures, modify existing software, develop event driven, or data driven analytics, design or implement complex algorithms, design cloud-based solutions, delegate programming and testing responsibilities
• Responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, and knowledge store management
• Works with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform, and convert raw data into required formats
• Devises methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Fullscope Polygraph clearance
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Experience designing and implementing Java solutions
• Experience with Apache NiFi system administration
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with corporate data flow processes and tools
• Experience with corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Perl scripts and applications
