About the role
We are seeking an experienced Software/Process Engineer IV to join a leading financial services organization's Technology team. In this role, you will oversee the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of business-critical applications and systems. You will play a key role in designing technology solutions, optimizing system performance, resolving technical challenges, and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, installation, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
- Design, develop, and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
- Monitor system applications and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and business system issues.
- Install, configure, and test software to detect and address malfunctions.
- Conduct system analysis to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve system functionality and performance.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding processes, technologies, and operational improvements.
- Monitor and test system performance to ensure stability and scalability.
- Create reports and technical documentation outlining findings, solutions, and recommendations.
- Mentor and train junior engineers to improve technical skills and team effectiveness.
- Maintain ownership of assigned processes and serve as a subject matter expert when needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of software development, system architecture, hardware, and computing systems.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, code optimization, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to analyze systems and develop effective technical solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and technology teams.
- Strong execution and delivery capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting and enhancing enterprise-level applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
- Experience evaluating system performance and implementing process improvements.
- Prior experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers.
Pay
$80–84 per hour
