Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in developing high-accuracy calibration systems, collaborating with engineers, and improving DC/Low frequency calibration standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of software for processing calibration systems
• Collaborate with engineers to enhance DC/Low frequency calibration standards
• Conduct tests to validate system performance and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Document findings, prepare reports, and present results to the team

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, data analysis, or a related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB
• Basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming and version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Coursework in data structures, algorithms, and operating systems
• Willingness to learn about DC/Low frequency applications and calibration systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance preferred
• Familiarity with digital multimeter or calibration equipment is a plus
