About the Role
Raytheon’s Electronic Warfare (EW) Software development team is seeking an experienced Software Engineer II to work on real-time embedded products. You will join collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams using agile system and software development practices to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
Responsibilities
- Innovate creative implementations of new products and technologies from architecture and design through integration, lab test, and field test.
- Collaborate with systems, firmware, electrical, and software engineers in an advanced product-development environment.
- Develop software requirements and FPGA-level interface requirements derived from system-level specifications.
- Perform simulations, analysis, and laboratory testing of software.
- Occasional business-related travel required.
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in software design, integration, and test using C/C++.
- Experience in software engineering related to firmware or product development.
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current, transferable DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with embedded microprocessor design, system-on-chip software, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analysis, signal generation, and signal processing.
- Experience developing real-time applications on embedded platforms (bare metal, embedded Linux, Windows).
- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EA/ES), Radar, or Secure Communications technologies.
- Experience with .NET C#, WPF, and MVVM.
- Familiarity with tools: Visual Studio, Vitis, TortoiseSVN, Jenkins, Jira, Collaborator.
- Lab experience using logic analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system-on-chip debugging tools.
- Experience with interfaces and bus standards: VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gigabit Ethernet.
- Experience across the full software lifecycle from architecture to post-delivery maintenance.
- Experience with software algorithm development and machine learning.
- Experience with Agile development processes.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $75,800 – $144,200 USD, commensurate with experience, location, and other factors.
