About the role
Katalyst builds robotic spacecraft for dynamic space operations, enabling sustained, responsive space activities. The company focuses on foundational capabilities that enhance national security and freedom of action in space.
Responsibilities
- Create models and simulations for cross-domain applications
- Develop training environments for operations
- Build AI & T testing tool suites for SITL testing
- Maintain and develop coding environments
- Verify models and simulations against hardware
Requirements
- 3-8 years of experience in modeling and simulation for complex aerospace missions
- Expert knowledge in C++ and Python
- Experience developing for multiple internal stakeholders such as AI&T, GSW, MOPS, FSW, etc.
- BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a closely related STEM field
Qualifications
- Simulated 6-DOF relative motion and RPOC
- Contributed to digital twin efforts
- Strong foundation in multiple subsystems such as GNC, Flight Dynamics, EPS, Propulsion, etc.
- Previous experience in simulations frameworks like Basalisk, STK, GMAT
Skills
- Expertise in C++ and Python
- Knowledge of distributed compute frameworks
- Experience with 6-DOF relative motion and RPOC
- Strong foundation in multiple subsystems such as GNC, Flight Dynamics, EPS, Propulsion, etc.
