Software Engineer II, Modeling and Simulation

Responsibilities

• Create models and simulations for cross-domain applications
• Develop training environments for operations
• Build AI & T testing tool suites for SITL testing
• Maintain and develop coding environments
• Verify models and simulations against hardware

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in modeling and simulation for complex aerospace missions
• Expert knowledge in C++ and Python
• Experience developing for multiple internal stakeholders such as AI&T, GSW, MOPS, FSW, etc.
• BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a closely related STEM field

Qualifications

• Simulated 6-DOF relative motion and RPOC
• Contributed to digital twin efforts
• Strong foundation in multiple subsystems such as GNC, Flight Dynamics, EPS, Propulsion, etc.
• Previous experience in simulations frameworks like Basalisk, STK, GMAT

Skills

• Expertise in C++ and Python
• Knowledge of distributed compute frameworks
• Experience with 6-DOF relative motion and RPOC
• Strong foundation in multiple subsystems such as GNC, Flight Dynamics, EPS, Propulsion, etc.

• Base salary determined on a case-by-case basis, ranging from $120,000 to $165,000 annually
