This position requires that the candidate be a U.S. citizen with, or capable of receiving, a Secret level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing high-fidelity structural, dynamic, and impact simulations using finite element analysis (FEA) tools, with LS-DYNA preferred.
- Building, validating, and maintaining physics-based models to predict weapon system performance across a range of operational and environmental conditions.
- Conducting trade studies and parametric analyses to support design decisions and system optimization.
- Correlating simulation results with physical test data to validate and improve model fidelity.
- Generating simulation-based predictions in support of system qualification, certification, and proposal activities.
- Preparing detailed technical reports, model documentation, and analysis presentations for internal teams and customers.
- Collaborating with mechanical, systems, and test engineers throughout all phases of product development.
