About the role

Torch.AI is seeking candidates who bring creativity to problem-solving, are comfortable working without full clarity, and take responsibility for outcomes. This role involves building a government-owned reasoning infrastructure that enhances machine reasoning capabilities across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Reasoning Layer, a modular architecture for data ingestion, orchestration, governance, semantic representation, vectorization, graph-based fusion, and reasoning.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data experts, veterans, and mission practitioners to ensure the infrastructure meets mission and operational needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the infrastructure is secure, scalable, and integrates seamlessly with existing systems of record.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Reasoning Layer through iterative development and testing.

Requirements

  • Experience with machine learning, data engineering, and system integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for building robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure for government missions.
  • Clearance eligibility, particularly for roles requiring a Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with data management, machine learning, and system integration.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and standards applicable to IT infrastructure.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
