This position is in GE Healthcare's MIM Software business, which develops vendor-neutral imaging software to streamline workflows and address complex clinical scenarios. Responsibilities
- Maintain, improve, and add features to a large and mature Java codebase.
- Develop and write automated tests to ensure quality code.
- Participate in peer code reviews to enhance code quality.
- Mitigate and document cybersecurity risks associated with the project.
- Enhance custom frameworks to support the development process.
- Learn about the medical industry as needed to align with project goals.
- Investigate and resolve bug reports from end-users, addressing issues within large software systems.
- Collaborate with user-facing teams to understand and implement user requirements.
- Communicate regularly with the team to coordinate projects, overcome obstacles, and celebrate achievements.
- Work closely with your manager to tailor your personal growth plan.
- Contribute to GE Healthcare's mission of enhancing patient care through innovative technology.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with significant coursework in computer science, or
- A minimum of five years of industry experience in Java programming.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and organizational abilities.
- An enthusiasm for continuous learning in both technical and interpersonal skills.
Skills
