Software Engineer II - Full Stack (Hybrid in Atlanta)
About the role
Our client base is constantly growing and we’re looking for great software engineers to join our team. As a technical contributor on the Aware platform, you’ll work across the full application stack, designing and implementing highly resilient, scalable, and performant solutions that solve complex healthcare problems using VueJS, NodeJS, Java, AWS, and more.
Responsibilities
- Participate in technical and product discussions with leaders across engineering, product, and business teams
- Work self-reliantly, without supervision, while applying best practices in design, communication, and solution delivery
- Continuously improve our standard of engineering excellence
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and system design
- Experience building scalable web applications and backend services
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (VueJS, React, or Angular)
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with REST API development
- Experience with automated testing (JUnit, TestNG, Jest, Vitest, or similar)
- Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with Shift Left and test automation
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership; proactively identifies opportunities, takes initiative without being asked, and follows through with persistence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with generative AI, machine learning, and predictive algorithms
- Familiarity with statistics and the healthcare domain
- Expertise with distributed event streaming platforms like Kafka
- Experience with data pipeline technologies
