About the role

Raytheon Software Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Air C2 (Command and Control) and Sensors software department. This role involves developing mission-critical Command and Control applications using DevSecOps processes and industry best practices to address current and future threats.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor in a high-performing Software Product Team.
  • Participate in software design, implementation, testing, and maintenance for C2 applications.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional, Agile environment.
  • Travel up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Development, and Java application development.
  • Experience with databases as part of software solutions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret). Active and existing clearance required after day 1.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in large, cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledgeable in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience building dynamic and responsive frontend UI applications.
  • Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, or React, and a solid understanding of component-based architecture.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages.
  • Experience with reactive programming paradigms and frameworks for scalable, event-driven applications.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $75,800 – $144,200 USD.
