About the role
The Software Engineer II will design, develop, and maintain the tools and services that power the CLEVERCHEMIST product suite, including GitLab, Artifactory, MinIO, GitLab Runner, Jupyter, and the SPARTANDESK Linux virtual desktop. They will work alongside software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that boost productivity and streamline development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools and services for the CLEVERCHEMIST product suite
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations
- Automate administrative tasks and workflows using Bash/Python/PHP scripts
- Write documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI
- Use containerization technologies like Docker
- Manage source code using Git for branching strategies and team collaboration
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 3 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 5 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- OR 7 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Qualifications
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
- Experience writing Bash/Python/PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
- Recent software development experience using Java
- Experience using an integrated development environment like the Atlassian plugin SDK
- Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
Skills
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
- Experience with interacting/training external customers
