Software Engineer II

About the role

Motorola Solutions is seeking a self-motivated individual to drive the next-generation public safety experience. This role involves analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining software for the organization’s products and systems. You will contribute to the full product lifecycle by performing software development, executing hardware and software integration tests, and developing and validating all feature functionality and user documentation. You will work in a team environment, using the latest industry-standard agile practices to plan, implement, and deliver products and services.

• Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals to deliver mission-critical services and solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience
• US Citizenship required

Desired Skills

• Average to high proficiency in C/C++, Linux (multiple variants), Windows development, Python, Perl / Powershell, Java, Make, Bash, Network Protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, UDP)
• Agile software development and/or Git/JIRA experience
• Mobile application and/or platform development, including Android and iOS
• Driver development
• Embedded programming
• SIP, RTP, RTCP Protocols
• Experience in debugging and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Gen AI and LLM

Target Base Salary Range

$73,800 - $107,600 USD

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• 1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience
• US Citizenship required
