About the role
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer II with a focus on Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) products. This role involves developing software for real-time embedded navigation and timing solutions for military applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop software tools
- Support field demonstration efforts
- Provide customer support
- Mentor other engineers
- Develop software for real-time embedded hardware/software applications
- Contribute to the design and implementation of navigation products
Requirements
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- A typical requirement includes a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an Advanced Degree in a related field, with minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- A DoD security clearance is required.
- Strong software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition.
- Experience with embedded hardware and real time hardware systems.
- Experience with C, C++, Ada or other high-order languages in an embedded application environment.
- Experience with Python test scripting.
- Experience with the Agile methodology of development, aptitude or interest in a Scrum Master role.
- A working knowledge of Communication Systems, Message Handling, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter Theory.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
Schedule
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
