About the Role
Our Distribution IT team is seeking an ambitious Salesforce Software Engineer I or II to compose, build, and support solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role is perfect for someone early in their technology career who enjoys coding, learning new technologies, collaborating with others, and transforming business problems into software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build, develop, test, and improve Salesforce applications, automations, and integrations using both configuration and custom development.
- Collaborate with business and product partners to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Write, test, and troubleshoot code using Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and APIs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Analyze data and help find opportunities to improve business processes and user experiences.
- Assist with system testing, debugging, deployment activities, and production support.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven problem-solving, organizational, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
- Interest in software development and building technology solutions.
- Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow.
Skills
- Object-oriented programming (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages).
- Web development concepts including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Database concepts and SQL.
- Experience working with CRM or CMS tools (i.e. Salesforce, Redtail, HubSpot, WordPress).
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

Pay
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly): $65,000 - $98,000 / year
Schedule
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical work week) from Des Moines, IA.
