Software Engineer (Frontend Focus)

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Software Engineer with a Frontend Focus for a fully funded opportunity on a large prime contract. The role is located at our headquarters in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

• Develop intuitive front-end user interfaces that present data in meaningful ways
• Work directly with users to gather feedback and incorporate it into software solutions
• Learn and understand the customer's mission to deliver effective solutions
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional teams throughout the development process
• Automate workflows to improve efficiency
• Solve challenging problems and learn new technologies as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in software development
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience developing applications with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite, MySQL, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience using Git for version control
• Familiarity with the Linux command line
