Software Engineer - Entry Level **Sign-on Bonus Potential**
As a Software Engineer - Entry Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will contribute to cutting-edge development programs and design innovative solutions for national security missions.
About the role
BI&A delivers intelligence, analytics, and cyber solutions that enable users to advance national security. With a diverse portfolio and partnerships across the Intelligence Community, you’ll work on prime contracts and subcontracts, gaining hands-on experience with advanced technologies and a culture of technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithms, large-scale data manipulation, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements.
- Design new solutions and innovate RF signal processing applications.
- Create analytics, visualization, and discovery tools.
- Integrate new and legacy software across diverse hardware form factors.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports.
- Provide input on software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions.
- Perform requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university (or four years of additional software engineering experience on similar projects may substitute for the degree).
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Proficiency in Linux development environments.
- Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience with RF signal processing applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming.
- Experience with geospatial processing.
- Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays.
- Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools.
Pay
$89,500 - $111,500 (based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations). Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
