Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Help maintain platform health by validating policy changes, monitoring alerts, and troubleshooting issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Perform recurring assessments of endpoint security, secure access services, email security, and vulnerability exposure.
  • Assist in configuring AWS security services and maintaining cloud security controls.
  • Contribute to building and updating infrastructure-as-code templates (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK) under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Participate in cloud security reviews to ensure consistent application of secure configurations.
  • Develop and maintain scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate security tasks, workflows, and integrations.
  • Work with Git repositories and IDEs (e.g., VS Code) to maintain scripting artifacts and IaC components following secure coding best practices.
  • Support integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems through APIs and automation workflows.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation support, data gathering, and coordination with platform owners for remediation.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, cloud security practices, and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the team.
  • Maintain documentation such as runbooks, standard operating procedures, and platform guides.
  • Work with project teams to implement security requirements and ensure consistent configuration of controls.

Education

  • 4–6 years supporting cybersecurity technologies, ideally with exposure to secure access platforms, endpoint detection, SIEM concepts, email/DLP, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security fundamentals and infrastructure-as-code tooling (CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK).
  • Experience developing scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate security tasks.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows, version control practices, and modern IDEs for scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting or administering enterprise email security platforms with API-driven DLP capabilities.
