Summary Job Summary (Software Engineer Cloud Platforms & Mobile Applications) Design, develop, and maintain cloud platforms and mobile applications. Work in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite at NYC,NY, 2 days remote). Utilize technical expertise with platforms and systems such as EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, Docker, ActiveMQ, RDS/Postgres, Firebase, and Sentry. Apply proficiency in programming languages including Java, Kotlin, SQL, and optionally React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript for frontend development. Analyze and manage data, ensuring effective data collection and analysis. Lead or participate in project management, including writing technical documents, scopes of work, requirements, and estimates. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication, planning, and analytical skills. Optionally leverage experience with SaaS providers like GitHub, GitLab, Sentry, Intercom, Airtable, and Expo. Preferably bring knowledge of React Native, Kotlin, railroad operations, GIS, and location-based systems such as Mapbox or ESRI. Possess a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Bring at least 10 years of relevant experience, including designing customer-facing applications. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for technology, with the ability to work independently.
