Software Engineer (Cloud Developer)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications and services on the Azure platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions, implement APIs, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Optimize application performance and maintain security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Document and implement security principles.
  • Attend regular sprint meetings.

Qualifications

  • Pay Rate: DOE
  • Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Must be able to obtain Windows MCST and Security + within 6 months of hire.
    • Must be able to obtain Microsoft Azure Developer Associate Certification (AZ-204) within 1 year of hire.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, or Python.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the core technologies of the web.
  • Demonstrated understanding of responsive design principles and practices.
  • Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Functions, App Service, SQL Database, DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, RESTful APIs and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
  • Able to learn new technologies and adapt to various development environments.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with a high level of attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the section SOPs.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.

Job Requirements

  • Able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
  • Have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
  • Speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
  • Willing to cross-train in other areas.
  • Use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.
  • Be punctual, responsible, and dependable.
  • Demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.
  • Deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.
  • Be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and independently.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in agile development methods.
  • Experience with MVC framework.
