About the role
The Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) is seeking experienced technical software engineers to join the FPGA team. This team develops FPGA firmware for reliable radar data processing.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex algorithms into scalable digital designs using HDL (Verilog, SystemVerilog).
- Optimize designs to meet constraints while balancing throughput, latency, and FPGA resources.
- Design and develop testbenches to ensure the correctness and robustness of HDL modules.
- Carry out timing analysis and create constraints or implement pipelining to ensure designs meet timing requirements.
- May lead a functional team.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least 36 months of embedded software experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance is required.
Skills
- Experience with HDL (Verilog, SystemVerilog).
- Knowledge of software development and optimization.
- Experience with FPGA design and testing.
- Ability to perform timing analysis and create constraints.
