About the role

Armada Systems seeks a Software Engineer in Bellevue, Washington. This role involves active participation in the software development lifecycle, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, efficient, and resilient software solutions using a variety of technologies. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to design, development, and maintenance of scalable and resilient software solutions.
• Contribute to system design and integration of software components to improve functionality and user experience, under guidance from senior engineers.
• Support testing protocols to ensure software quality and reliability, and assist in monitoring and optimizing system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software projects aligned with business goals, applying best practices in continuous integration and deployment.

Requirements

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, and 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation.

• 2 years of experience in:
  • Building backend services in Go, Java, or Python with REST or gRPC and microservices.
  • Software development methodologies.
• 1 year of experience in:
  • Working with datastores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Cassandra, or Cosmos DB.
  • Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Cloud operations on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including AKS, storage, and monitoring.
  • Observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing) using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/EFK, Jaeger, or equivalent.
  • CI/CD with Git-based workflows and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, plus unit/integration testing, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum in production.

Pay

Wage range for this role: $117,749–$130,000.
