Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Web Developer to support a unique team within our manufacturing and test engineering department. You will collaborate closely with SQL Server architects to design, build, and maintain web-based tools that drive our fast-paced manufacturing environment. As your experience progresses, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills in full-stack development, advanced application architecture, and database integration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SQL Server architects to develop intuitive web front-ends for robust database solutions.
• Design and build custom, internal web-based tools to support manufacturing and production workflows.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code for web applications.
• Ensure seamless and secure integration between web interfaces and backend SQL Server databases.
• Oversee application performance, debugging, and troubleshooting user-reported issues.
• Maintain internal documentation for custom tools, user guides, and application architecture.
• Partner with production teams to gather requirements and continuously improve software tools.
• Interact with the IT help desk and other engineering teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and providing technical support when needed.
• Partner with internal and external entities to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• One to three years of experience in web development, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern web frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend development (e.g., C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio) and API integration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, writing queries, and interacting with relational databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Manufacturing or production process knowledge is a plus.
