About the role
Perform semiconductor engineering duties and specify, design, and integrate software components into a complete product. Up to 10% domestic and 5% international travel required for business meetings, events, conferences, and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions to semiconductor applications problems for consumer electronics, industrial, and automotive industries.
- Design, develop, test, and document software systems and applications for enhancements and new products.
- Facilitate the smooth integration of microcontrollers, processors, and development platforms into relevant applications.
- Provide hardware and software technical support, working closely with partners, customers, and software development teams.
- Offer system-level customer support involving multimedia, operating systems, and machine learning components for key customers.
- Prepare application notes and technical materials, including design documentation, specifications, procedures, experimental results, design options, and tradeoffs.
- Perform feasibility and benchmark studies for specific product use cases.
- Optimize software programs, including applications, operating systems-level software, middleware performance, and low power consumption.
- Contribute to architectural firmware and/or middleware design discussions for new generation chipsets.
- Analyze the impact of software and algorithms for the definition of the next generation of SoC.
- Contribute to porting new open-source and commercial frameworks, analyze performance, and propose optimizations.
- Create, evaluate, and demonstrate hardware and software, including associated training materials.
- Solve system design issues and respond to technical questions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship, or thesis involving:
- Developing, debugging, and testing embedded software solutions.
- Programming, compiling, debugging in C, Python, or Bash Scripting.
- Embedded Linux environments.
- Cross compilation.
- Microprocessor System Design.
- Computer Architecture.
- Jira.
Pay
$139,152 per year.
