About the role
Hybrid position based in New York, NY (4 days onsite).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend software systems and features focused on content delivery at scale
- Build and support highly scalable, low-latency services that handle streaming and analytics workloads
- Collaborate on code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions with engineering peers and stakeholders
- Work closely with SRE and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, resilience, observability, and performance
- Use modern development practices, including repositories, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and cloud deployment workflows
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Experience with Go (Golang) and/or Python
- Experience deploying software in cloud environments using Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with software repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
- Experience with SRE practices supporting scalability and reliability
- Strong backend engineering experience at scale
- Experience with ETL, data processing, or streaming systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Skills
- Exposure to AWS
- Media or streaming platform experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
