Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, requirements analysis, and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver complete end-to-end solutions to clients.
• Analyze the environment to ensure that solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.
• Utilize new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements.
• Collaborate with the team to develop systems that drive positive change.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Experience reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documenting test results.
• Experience providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, requirements analysis, and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Experience with Java, including Springboot, Swing/GUI development, SON serialization and deserialization, knowledge of marshalling JSON objects to and from POJOs, implementing robust solutions using Jackson or gson, and Testing with JUNIT and Mockito.
• Experience with Python, including proficiency with Python standard libraries and familiarity with Python data science packages.
• Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience with Niagara Files programming.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, or High school diploma and 11+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Nice if you have experience with UI Development.
