Software Engineer

Payrate: $95.00- $95.99/hr. Summary: As a ML Research Engineer, you will be contributing towards building the next generation of AI models. You will play a role in performing a qualitative analysis of data and will also be responsible for developing. Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner. In addition, you will also write SQL queries to further process the data. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Responsibilities:Develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient mannerWrite SQL queries to further process the dataWrite high-quality, efficient, and maintainable codeParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practicesTroubleshoot and debug software applicationsEnsure software applications meet quality and performance standardsProvide timely solutions to technical issuesDocument software applications and ensure documentation is up-to-dateCommunicate effectively with stakeholders and team members Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field2+ years of experience as a software engineerStrong proficiency in Python programming languageProficient in working with Linux systems and writing shell scriptsProficient in writing SQL queriesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExperience working on large-scale software development projects6+ years of experience (or equivalent) in research engineering, ML engineering, or systems/software engineering with ML implementation work.Coding background in Python, PyTorch and SQLPublications of their work and experience giving presentations at top conferences showcasing their researchSoft Skills - Looking for someone that has a high attention to detail, a good personality, team player, and problem solver attitude. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
