About the role
The Software Engineer position will be responsible for the implementation of complex elements and protocols of software engineering/programming. A great collaborator and a fast self-learner with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, this role evaluates requirements and transforms complex problems into simple solutions, enhancing the technical agility of Club Labs' new product lines.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced software applications on platforms including iOS, Android, and web apps.
- Write clean, maintainable code and communicate regularly with the team.
- Review, analyze, and resolve application issues as needed.
- Evaluate strategies and recommend changes and improvements.
- Collaborate with team members on the design and implementation of new functionalities.
- Consult with other team members and implement solutions aligned with department visions.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies to evaluate their business impact.
- Participate in and provide feedback during planning meetings (e.g., pre-iteration, iteration, and retrospectives).
- Make independent decisions involving project direction and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science (preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience implementing high-performance, high-availability, reliable, and secure software using technologies such as Java/Android, Objective-C, front-end stacks, or MS Web frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and interest in a pair programming environment.
- Ability to inspire, innovate, and deliver results as a strong team member.
- Knowledge of implementing and managing API (Web Services) versioning.
- User-centric/customer-centric focus, with experience in Agile XP practices and a learning mindset.
- Commitment to monitoring and learning new technologies and market trends.
- Prior consulting or freelancing experience is a bonus.
Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences may be required.
