About the role
Tapestry Solutions, part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Hazelwood, MO, for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program is a growing and relevant deterrent employed by multiple military organizations, expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining non-embedded software throughout its lifecycle, meeting industry, customer, and safety standards while adhering to strict government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
- Execute and document software research and development projects.
- Translate customer requirements into software designs and specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software products and functionalities.
- Debug and resolve software issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry, customer, and government safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications.
- 1+ year of experience with VB, C#, .NET, and/or .NET Framework.
- 1+ year of experience with SQL or other relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and industry standards.
