About the Position
The Software Engineer - Analytics will support the Analytics and Operations teams in solving business needs, integrating data systems, developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), full-stack software, and communicate insights and/or solution recommendations. The role is expected to participate in the planning, design, and implementation of software/automation projects. The position will develop optimal system-to-system communications ranging from SQL/NoSQL databases, streaming systems, and distributed in-memory calculation engines (Spark/Dask).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Master’s preferred, or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated passion.
- 1–3 years of full-stack software engineering experience, preferably in an analytics-focused environment.
- Proficient in at least two of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Go, C++, or Rust.
- Strong foundation in clean, maintainable coding practices.
- Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as distributed systems.
- Experience in designing and managing APIs, including version control and change management.
- Able to shift between high-level system design and hands-on implementation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and build/deployment automation.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of UI/UX design; experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) is a plus.
- Strong user-experience orientation and customer-first mindset.
