About the Role
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Tools Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Software Engineer 4 (AI Test Engineer) to support the development and delivery of next-generation AI-enabled identity solutions. This role will focus on quality engineering, test automation, AI/ML validation, and enterprise application testing for strategic IAM initiatives including access automation, identity governance, self-service access management, and AI-driven identity platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, automated testing, AI/ML validation, and modern web application development utilizing React and Java. This individual will partner closely with engineers, product owners, business stakeholders, and end users to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies that ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions within a highly regulated enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Software Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Lead complex technology initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
- Participate in developing engineering standards, best practices, and quality frameworks for large-scale platforms and applications.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions supporting IAM and enterprise automation initiatives.
- Evaluate and review technical solutions against business requirements, architecture standards, and strategic objectives.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, emerging technologies, and automation capabilities.
- Mentor engineers and quality assurance professionals while providing technical leadership across projects.
- AI Testing & Quality Engineering
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies tailored to AI/ML systems and intelligent applications.

- Validate AI model outputs, prompt-response accuracy, contextual understanding, and expected system behavior.
- Evaluate model latency, throughput, scalability, and resilience under varying workloads.
- Perform security-focused testing and vulnerability assessments of AI-enabled applications.
- Identify model vulnerabilities, testing gaps, and potential biases while ensuring responsible AI outcomes.
- Support AI operationalization initiatives by validating model performance and reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Automation Engineering & DevOps
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for enterprise web applications and AI/ML workflows.
- Create test automation solutions using:
- React
- JavaScript
- Java
- Related modern development technologies
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Develop reusable automation components that improve quality coverage and testing effectiveness.
- Support DevOps and DevSecOps initiatives through automated quality controls and continuous testing practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve automation framework adoption and test execution reliability.
- IAM & Enterprise Platform Testing
- Support testing and validation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) applications and platforms.
- Validate functionality supporting:
- Access Automation
- Enterprise Access Request Portals
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Identity Governance
- Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Agentic Identity Initiatives
- Ensure seamless integration between identity platforms, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
- Partner with business and technology teams to validate security controls and access management functionality within highly regulated environments.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, product managers, project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile delivery processes and Scrum ceremonies.
- Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure complete testing coverage.
- Create detailed end-to-end testing scenarios covering interfaces, integrations, workflows, and business processes.
- Document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Communicate testing status, quality risks, and delivery progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure successful product delivery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, military experience, training, or education.
- 5+ years of software testing experience supporting enterprise web applications.
- Strong software development experience utilizing:
- React
- Java
- JavaScript
- Experience supporting enterprise IAM applications, automation initiatives, and large-scale technology modernization efforts.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
