Software Engineer 4 - Contingent
About the role
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. This role involves strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend APIs and services using C#/.NET 6/7+, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and JBPM.
- Develop intuitive, performant Angular (13+) UI components using TypeScript, RxJS, and modular architecture.
- Design and enhance Spark ETL/ELT pipelines, including transformations, data quality rules, and performance tuning.
- Write high-coverage unit tests using xUnit/NUnit for backend and Jasmine/Karma for Angular with minimal supervision.
- Write test scripts using Playwright and iCEDQ, and utilize Octane for test management.
- Containerize applications and manage deployments on OpenShift (OCP), including build configs, routes, and scaling strategies.
- Work with Kubernetes concepts such as pods, deployments, services, config maps, secrets, and horizontal scaling.
- Contribute to CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, YAML pipelines, quality gates, and cloud-native delivery.
- Optimize SQL queries, database structures, and ETL load patterns for performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Proficiency in .NET Core, Angular, MS SQL Server, REST API, and Spark with at least 1 year of experience in each.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with offshore teams and cross-functional groups.
- Ability to speak to past experiences and demonstrate expertise in the required tools and technologies.

Pay
$70-$80/hr. on W2. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
