Software Engineer (3) - Core Engineer 1

About the role

Software Engineer position within IT Product team responsible for full cycle systems development activities including software design, development, and deployment activities to launch new systems and enhance existing systems. This position is also expected to participate in integration and systems testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of progressive IT experience with minimum 2 years of experience in primary technical skills (Angular and Spring Boot)
• Hands-on experience using full stack Java technologies
• Experience with software delivery tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
• Experience developing in all software tiers - front-end, back-end and database queries
• Experience integration planning and deliverables (Webservices, API, etc.)
• Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE platform integration using REST APIs, including API design, consumption, authentication, data exchange, and integration troubleshooting
• Knowledge and experience using Agile methodology
• Core Java (Java 11-Open JDK), Angular 8, Spring Boot 2.x, REST API integration, 3DEXPERIENCE, GitHub, Jenkins, Relational Database
• Knowledge of Python and packages like pandas, numpy, scipy, TensorFlow, scikit-learn
• Proficient with Git (GitHub), handle code merges for all developers and able to resolve merge conflicts
• Aware of Docker/Kubernetes for containerization of applications, and Jenkins/Tekton to create pipelines
• Expertise with GCP and able to integrate tools like GCS, BigQuery and DataFlow into existing workflows
• Aware of configuring infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines using Terraform
• Able to work on all aspects of the MLOps cycle (data extraction, analysis, model training, deployment, re-training)
• Good business understanding to formulate new use cases

• Experience working in cross functional global team environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones
• Strong written, verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience or knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) platform and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Secondary Technical Skills: Splunk, Dynatrace
• Product Management Experience

Education

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
