Software Engineer 2

About the role

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including DINO. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including DINO
• Implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• 5+ years of related experience
• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $152,150 - $205,850, set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements.

Schedule

40 hours per week. No travel required. This position is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
