About the role
The Software Engineer 2 position is part of our Information Technology team focused on Business Applications. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is exempt and operates in a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process.
- Perform system testing and debugging to ensure software meets requirements and performs reliably.
- Document project progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of software security principles and practices.
