About the role
The Software Engineer 2 position plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining software applications within our IT team. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software products.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing systems through automation and optimization.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and post-mortem analysis to improve processes and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in software development.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with database management systems and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Good understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, containerization).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
