Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting our critical environments. They will work across the full software development lifecycle, delivering scalable solutions for processing-intensive analytics, large data sets, real-time systems, and enterprise applications. In this role, they will collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to design high-performing software solutions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and implement reusable, modular components that support multiple applications and mission needs. Their expertise will help drive performance optimization, technical innovation, and long-term system sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting critical environments
- Work across the full software development lifecycle
- Deliver scalable solutions for processing‑intensive analytics, large data sets, real‑time systems, and enterprise applications
- Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to design high‑performing software solutions, evaluate technical trade‑offs, and implement reusable, modular components that support multiple applications and mission needs

Qualifications
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph (U.S. citizen required)
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
- 14 years of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with an emphasis on performance optimizations
