About the role

The Software Development Team Lead I manages groups of technical employees who develop software, troubleshoot, and provide advanced technical support while adhering to the company’s standards, policies, and procedures under the direction of a Software Development Manager. This role applies a broad range of technical and behavioral skills to lead individuals and activities within their discipline and contributes as an individual to help the team accomplish deliverables, including software testing, quality assurance, and technical support activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software developers and technical staff in adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Apply project planning and execution skills to ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
• Perform individual contributor activities, including software testing, quality assurance, and technical support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues in customer-facing software applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address business issues and maximize investment value through innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of professional software quality assurance experience, including writing and executing functional and regression testing.
• Demonstrable high-level proficiency with project planning and execution.
• 2 years of senior or lead-level activities with demonstrated leadership characteristics.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 12 years of professional QA experience writing and executing functional and regression testing.
• 2+ years of IT leadership experience.
• Considered an expert in a specific area of technology and/or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
