Software Development Specialist

About the role
Develop, maintain, and implement Java-based components, applications, and frameworks. Lead the design and architecture of Java-based solutions and collaborate with developers, designers, and system administrators to ensure proper integration of all project components.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Java applications.
- Develop and maintain software documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and trends.
- Optimize existing code for better performance.
- Analyze existing code and implement necessary changes.
- Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements.
- Develop and implement Java-based Web Services, primarily in a REST model.
- Build scalable and distributed micro-services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications using Java/J2EE, Spring framework, and related technologies.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, including features in Java 8 and above.
- 5 years of experience with Spring Boot.
- 5 years of experience with UI frameworks like Angular or React.
- 5 years of experience with build and development tools like Gradle and Maven.
- 5 years of experience using GIT projects.
- 5 years of experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Familiar with Agile software development methodologies.
- Good understanding of SQL and working with relational databases.
- Proficient in Collections, Multi-Threading concepts, and hands-on coding.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Schedule
Candidate must be in office 5 days a week. No travel to other locations is needed.
Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $50/Hr - $60/Hr, depending on relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
